Mono Churuco Collection

Elena Matallana’s new collection is inspired by the mono churuco, the Colombian woolly monkey. Soft, powerful, and deeply connected to the land, the churuco is one of the endangered species that lives in the forests near Chiribiquete. It’s also one of the animals represented in the ancient pictographs that cover the stone walls of the sacred site, painted by Indigenous communities thousands of years ago.

Our pieces carry the spirit of the churuco. There’s something about its quiet strength and deep rooted presence that stayed with us. This collection is our way of honoring that energy and the bond between nature, culture, and creation.
